The series follows the people of the lower Rogue River in the early 1830s — before the Rogue River Wars, before the forced removals, before the Siletz Reservation. It is written from the inside, by an enrolled member of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, developed in consultation with the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians Cultural Department and Language Program.
